How does 4D Ultrasound Work?
4D ultrasound uses sound waves, similar to 2D and 3D ultrasounds, to generate images of the fetus. A handheld device called a transducer is placed on the mother’s abdomen, which emits high-frequency sound waves. These sound waves bounce back when they encounter different tissues and structures within the womb. The returning sound waves are then processed by a computer to create detailed, dynamic images of the baby.
